Wine & Summer
We hope you’ve had a fabulous week! What better way to “wine” down then joining us tonight from 5-8 at our weekly wine tasting! Arny will be serving up Carfagna’s Homemade Vodka Sauce. Grandmother Nonna Maria taught the Carfagna family how to make celebrated Italian food using authentic recipes from the Abruzzo-Molise Region of Italy. With each of their homemade products, Carfagna’s follow her advice and use only the freshest, premium products available. They take their time making each delicious product so you don’t have to! The vodka releases flavors in the tomato that are normally inaccessible resulting in this tomatoey sauce. It is creamy, cheesy, and very rich, made with fresh real cream.
Our wines for the evening are: Great Western Extra Dry Champagne, a pale straw-colored champagne that has a slightly sweet character with a hint of citrus, apple and pear; 1924 Cabernet Sauvignon, dark, full-bodied and rich with bold aromas of of blackberry preserves, cocoa, raspberry and caramel, setting the stage for a juicy core of concentrated, dense blackberry and fig jam flavors that finish with a hint of baking spice; and Salt of the Earth Flore de Moscato, made at summer’s end by crushing the highest quality Muscat grapes, the juices are slightly fermented in steel tanks and quickly chilled to retain their delectable sugar and natural spritz.
