Tonight's Pairing & Pouring

Tonight Arny will be pairing selected charcuterie, our own Sicilian muffuletta pasta salad, and dolce. Our wines for the evening include Wolftrap White Blend from South Africa, Lote 44 Malbec from Argentina, and St. Ambrose Draft Mead from Michigan.

Muffuletta is a combination of olives, celery, peppers, onion, cauliflower, carrots, pimentos, vinegar and olive oil, seasoned with salt and pepper, originally used as a sandwich topper. It didn’t start as a salad and you can’t order a muffuletta in Sicily. The original Italian muffoletta was strictly a New Orleans sandwich, named for the bread on which it’s served. Today, muffuletta pasta salad is all the favorite things about the classic Italian flavors of the New Orleans sandwich rolled into one amazing recipe that you can make all year long.

Wolftrap Viognier Chenin Blanc is a spicy, aromatic, white blend that has been French oak matured. The name is a tribute to the pioneers who in the early days of the African Cape erected a wolf trap. To date, no wolf either real or mystical has been seen in the valley. Lote 44 Malbec has a bright array of spicy red berries and plums, as well as fresh earthy notes that lead to a palate with a fresh, juicy and lithe array of blueberries and plums. St. Ambrose Draft Mead X.R. Cyser, their best-selling draft mead, features apple, cinnamon, maple syrup, and their star thistle honey, earning the title “Apple Pie in a Bottle”.

Join us tonight for this delicious evening. The pouring and pairing runs from 5-8 p.m.
