This Week's Tasting & Pairing
How is your Christmas shopping going? Have you crossed everyone off your list? Looking for some time to wind down and relax? Join us for our Friday night wine tasting and pairing from 5-8 p.m. We’ll be starting with a new wine, Ned Sauvignon Blanc. This is a single vineyard Sauvignon from the highly rated winemaker Brent Marris. Zesty and fruity with a brilliant smoky herbal twist, this delicious fresh white has characteristic lime and gooseberry flavors. The pasta will be paired with Pasqua Passimento Rosso. It is a blend of Corvina and Croatina grapes with a percentage of Merlot. The grapes are picked by hand and left to dry in wooden crates in the drying loft. There, by means of humidity control and air circulation, the grapes lose around 30% of their water content and achieve a high sugar concentration. Given that the grapes have differing aging times, vinification takes place separately in steel tanks. It is then aged in oak barrels for 3 months. We will finish with Simply Fruit Just Peachy, from the south of France. It is a clear wine with a light, golden hue that glistens delicately in your glass. The infused natural peach creates an aroma of mature peach fruit on the nose and subtle elegance on the palate. It is a perfect blend of peach flavor, effervescence and just the right amount of sweetness. We look forward to serving you!
