Tailgate, Pairing & Pouring


Tailgating is not limited to college and NFL games. Tonight, you can demonstrate Wayland Wildcat team spirit at Acqua In Vino’s parking lot! This is a great opportunity for the community to get to know each other while sharing good food and company. Traveler’s BBQ will be serving ribs and brats at this Tailgate party and AIV will be selling beverages.


Inside at our Pairing and Pouring, Arny will be preparing Cacio e Pepe with Portabella mushrooms. A pleasant peppery pasta dish, Cacio e Pepe is tossed with an emulsified sauce of cheese and black pepper that is bound by starchy pasta cooking water. The heat melts the cheese, while the starches in the water help bind the pepper and cheese to the pasta. Our wines include Fenn Valley Sparkling Riesling, a Michigan semi-dry sparkler made from ripe Riesling grapes with a ripe apple fruit character and a hint of orange-muscat in the finish; Reckless Love, from California a fun blend of Oakville Cabernet and Paso Robles Syrah with brambleberry, blackberry and cherry flavors and a smooth palate; and Fenn Valley Classic Port, a blend of barrel-aged port wines made from Chancellor and Chambourcin, exhibiting strong fruit character and a lighter body perfect with dessert foods. We’re hoping you’ll combine your pairing with the BBQ.
