Get Ready for Thanksgiving

We’re l

We're looking forward to our wine pairing and pouring tonight from 5-8 p.m. Our great hunter has returned from his elk hunt in New Mexico and will be serving up some delicious wild game pasta for us. Here's the wines we have chosen.

Meiomi Pinot Noir owes much of its complexity to its varied upbringing, unifying grapes from California's most notable winegrowing regions. This wine brings you structure and depth seldom seen in a Pinot Noir thanks to its unique and meticulous aging process. Aged for six months in French oak barrels, this California red wine's juicy strawberry flavor and notes of dark berries and toasted mocha add complexity and depth on the palate.

The Michigan Weather sweetens the grapes with an additional 3 weeks on the vine when the dry Riesling grapes are picked for this Chateau Fontaine wine. This wine is full and racy with apricots and peaches on the palate, flowery with haunting mineral in the background, delicate sweetness balanced with firm acidity creating a harmonious experience for the senses.

Real Sangria is a light-bodied, fruity and refreshing "Spanish Sangria" produced from fine Spanish red wine and a blend of natural citrus fruit flavors. It is mostly made from the Tempranillo and Garnacha grape varieties. Americans had their first sip of sangria at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York. The Spanish Pavilion served the sweet and refreshing drink to thirsty visitors and it was an instant success. Sangria quickly became an essential drink of the new century. Since then, Sangria has gone form being a popular beverage seen predominantly at Spanish restaurants to its current position as the go-to drink for when friends and family get together.

Acqua In Vino has many of the basics you will need for your Thanksgiving feast. Whether you cook a perfect turkey, dry turkey, smoked turkey, fried turkey or no meat at all, we also have the perfect wine to pair with whatever you serve. We have many wines to choose from to complement your Thanksgiving dinner. Our mantra for Thanksgiving is "open one of everything," because with the plethora of flavors on the Thanksgiving table, no single wine will match everything on the menu, but any wine is likely to play well with something! Maybe you’re headed home to see your parents, maybe you’re going to meet your significant other’s family for the first time, maybe you’re throwing the “friendsgiving” of the century, or maybe you’re entertaining the whole family at your house. No matter what your Thanksgiving holiday looks like, there’s one thing just as important as the food on your table: the wine! Let us help you pair the very best for you!
