Friday's Wine Tasting & Pairing
This week Arny will be bringing back his delicious Pasta al Ragù, using Ground Bison from Force of Nature. Ragù is a vegetable and herb-filled authentic Italian recipe from the Tuscany region. This slow-cooked bison meat sauce will literally melt in your mouth with flavor. We’ll be pairing it with Wolftrap Syrah Mourvedre Viognier from South Africa. The name is a tribute to the pioneers who, in the early days of the African Cape, erected a wolf trap. To date no wolf, either real or mystical, has been seen in the valley. Our charcuterie will feature Wolftrap Viognier Chenin Blanc, a blend of 48% Viognier, 41% Chenin Blanc and 11% Grenache Blanc. This medium-weight wine offers ripe fruit aromas and flavors of Anjou pear, peach and orange rind. Although made in South Africa, the wine is a true Southern France style blend, aged in French oak barrels. We will finish the night with dolce and Kayla Rae Cellars Sangria. This sweet red sangria will keep you coming back for more!
