This Week's Tasting & Pairing

We’re hoping the weather continues its warm pattern for our tasting Friday! We’ll be pairing our charcuterie with 1924 Double Black Cabernet Sauvignon. Gnarly Head 1924 delivers rich aromas of blackberry preserves, cocoa, raspberry and caramel, setting the stage for a juicy core of concentrated, dense blackberry and fig jam flavors that finish with a hint of baking spice. It may seem unbelievable, but Mexican food has a long history with wine. In fact, the oldest known winery in North America is located in Coahuila, Mexico. It was established in 1597! Tonight we’ll be pairing Fernlands Sauvignon Blanc with Arny’s Enchilada Pasta. The vineyard where Fernlands is grown is one of Marlborough’s best in New Zealand. We’ll finish the night with Chocolate Covered Blueberries from The Blueberry Store in South Haven paired with Domaine Laurier Brut. Using the traditional methode champenoise process to make champagne results in a sparkling wine that has a wonderful toasty aroma and fine bubbles. Join us Friday night from 5-8 p.m.
