Friday the 13th - Hooray!


At tonight’s Pairing and Pouring from 5-8 p.m., Arny will be preparing Garden Pantry Farmhouse Vegetable Soup Mix from Grand Shire Farm in Sand Lake. It’s a traditional vegetable soup with all the vegetables from the farm. Connie Hanson has created several flavors of these soups we carry for the cold weather. Many mixes can be prepared by just adding water; others you can add your own cooked meat. Although this is a vegan choice, Arny will be adding a pound of cooked ground wild boar from Force of Nature in Austin, Texas.


Our wines for the evening include Salt of the Earth Flore de Moscato, made at summer’s end by crushing the highest quality Muscat grapes, the juices are slightly fermented in steel tanks and quickly chilled to retain their delectable sugar and natural spritz; 1000 Stories Pinot Noir, a boldly crafted wine that brings notes of wild cherry, black raspberry and vanilla seasoned in American oak; and Fenn Valley Bubbling Rose, an off-dry sparkling blush which shows luscious notes of fresh strawberries and raspberries with hints of kiwi and orange zest.
