Friday Night Pairing & Pouring

At tonight’s pairing and pouring we will be sharing M. Chapoutier Belleruche Cotes-du-Rhone Blanc, Le Grand Courtage Brut Rose, and La Posta Fazzio Malbec.

Wine Advocate states that the Cotes-du-Rhone Blanc from M. Chapoutier Belleruche is gloriously ripe with restrained notes of apricot, peach and mineral that jump from the glass of this deliciously fruity, clean, medium-bodied wine. It bursts at the seams with personality and character and is very food-friendly. It has very nice aromas of tree fruits and light citrus, clean and crisp with a nice acidity and an excellent finish.

Le Grand Courtage Brut Rose is elegant and refreshing with baby bubbles and a delicate balance of dryness with soft floral notes. It was created by an American woman who moved to Nuits St Georges in Burgundy, France, for the French cuisine, to elevate and celebrate every day. It has bright aromas of fresh strawberry, raspberry and pomegranate that combine with notes of lilac and violet. It is deliciously seductive while smooth and versatile – a perfect balance.

La Posta Fazzio Malbec has a vibrant nose of red and black cherries and ripe plums. It holds a nice tannic structure that is full on the palate. Vanilla, chocolate and some spice make it more complex. This is a fruit-driven fresh and well-structured wine that pairs well. Domingo Fazzio invites us all to rest at the edge of his vineyard to find inspiration. You’ll hear about how his family moved to Argentina in search of a better life and of the better life they found as each vine took root. You’ll hear of his love of working the soil and dancing the tango. Join us tonight from 5-8 p.m.
