It’s the first Friday in June! Tonight is bourbon pairing and pouring from 5-8 p.m. Many couples choose June or July as their wedding month. In the American South, there is a popular wedding superstition that burying an unopened bottle of bourbon upside down at the ceremony site exactly one month before the wedding will ensure good weather and keep the rain away. On the wedding day, the couple digs it up to share with their wedding party! So, if you have a wedding to attend this summer, make sure you pick up a bottle of bourbon while you’re here! This evening Arny will be preparing Dirty Martini Pasta, an olive-lover’s pasta dish that takes the exact flavor profile of a dirty martini and turns it into a rich, tangy dinner. It features spaghetti tossed in a glossy sauce made of green olives, olive brine, lemon zest, garlic, and a splash of gin or vodka. Scatola Di Pasta will be open tonight and tomorrow afternoon during the local yard sale days. We look forward to seeing you this weekend.
