Let’s celebrate the arrival of Spring this weekend with our weekly wine pairing and pouring tonight from 5 – 8 p.m. Arny will be preparing haluski, pronounced hah-WOOS-kee. It is a buttery Polish dish with egg noodles, fried cabbage and onions often served during the Lenten season. If you grew up in a family of Eastern European descent, you’ve enjoyed this simple, rustic dish. To accommodate our customers who are observing Lent, our pairings will not contain meat. There will be meat options available for those who are not participating in the Lenten season.
Our wines include Noble Vines Marquis Red, a full-bodied red wine featuring aromas of dark cherry, baking spice and vanilla, lush and juicy with smooth tannins and a lingering finish with flavors of blackberry, raspberry, mocha and vanilla; Grand Traverse Select Sweet Harvest Riesling, a sweeter-style white wine that displays flavors of apricot, melon and honey with a sweet finish; and, from Italy, Santero Moscato, a deliciously refreshing, sparkling sweet white wine with pineapple flavor, produced from the best white Moscato grape varieties, with an intense and delicate bouquet and velvety flavor.
Remember, if you would like to bring the kids with you, we offer Fizzy tastings with craft sodas. Join us tonight as we celebrate the arrival of Spring!
