Join us for our Valentine's Wine Tasting tonight from 5-8 p.m. Arny will be bringing back our red wine pasta. The recipe involves simple pantry staples, but the red wine adds a slightly sweet, rich flavor that's unlike anything you've had before. The fascinating part is the noodles transform color as they cook. What starts as regular pasta quickly develops a deep, purplish red as it absorbs the liquid. You'll be surprised at how light, flavorful, and sophisticated this dish turns out.
New to the store, we will be pouring Barista, a Pinotage wine from South Africa. This wine has a burse of intense, rich coffee and chocolate aromas with ripe nuances of mulberry, plum and maraschino cherries. It is deep red and smoky with bramble and earth flavors. From Austria we have Huber Sparkling Rosé. It is light salmon in color with reddish gold play of light, delicate and fresh hints of cherries and forest berries with a sophisticated note of citrus. And from France we have Chateau de Sancerre Blanc. Chateau de Sancerre is one of the rare castles bearing the name of an appellation. Its vineyard includes 55 acres of vines located in four exceptional terroirs – flint stone, white earth and limestone which produce Sauvignon Blanc wines boasting unique mineral notes. This wine is stainless steel fermented with crisp minerality and refreshing peach and citrus qualities.
