Scientists have discovered that rain can make us happy and improve our mental health. When rain splashes on the ground, some of the molecules that make up the air pick up an electron and become negatively charged ions. When we inhale them, it is thought they can help to relieve stress and even boost our energy levels. Nobody really knows exactly why that happens. But there are clear indications that people feel more positive after inhaling negative ions. So come in after your walk in the rain and join us for our weekly wine pairing and pouring tonight from 5-8 p.m. Arny will be preparing Wilde Thyme Black Bean Soup with Sausage. This traditional bean soup combines choice black beans with sausage and zesty spices. We’ll also be making Pam’s Pantry dip for you to sample with crackers. Our wines for the evening include: Chateau Fontaine Pinot Gris, crisp and refreshing with floral hints, appealing flavors of citrus, green apples and maybe even a little spice; Sea Sun Pinot Noir, bright and fruit-driven, this wine boasts the taste of lush cherries with a hint of chocolate truffle and a strikingly soft texture; and Moscato Rubino with intense strawberry and cherry flavors on a light, effervescent river of fresh fruit.
