Has it been one of those weeks? Are you trying to get organized for the upcoming holiday season as well? No matter how busy you are, it’s important to find time to unwind and do things to help your body and mind relax. Drinking wine is one of the most time-honored ways for disconnecting our brain at the end of a busy day. This has been documented for many years and there's a good reason for its persistent popularity. It is calming and scientists say that one of the ingredients in red wine, resveratrol, can actually block enzymes linked to stress, depression and anxiety.
So, come relax with us tonight from 5 - 8 p.m. at our weekly wine tasting and pairing. We will be featuring Chateau Fontaine Gewurztraminer, an intriguingly unique white wine with rose petal nose, lychee and white pepper on the palate; Nicolas Merlot, a dark ruby color, this wine imported from France has the nose of red and black fruits such as cherries and black currants; and Hudsonville Acai, a South American gem that is a must taste sweet fruit wine. The acai is an inch-long, reddish-purple berry that comes from a South American palm tree. Studies show that acai fruit pulp is even richer in antioxidants than cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, or blueberries. Acai, pronounced ah-SI-ee, also contains fiber as well as other vitamins and minerals.
We look forward to serving you!
