At this week’s wine pairing and pouring, Arny will be preparing Texas Green Chili Tamales with Pesto Orzo and Tomatoes. Our wines will not disappoint. New to the store is Dona Flor Red Blend from Portugal, a dark garnet-colored wine with aroma notes of black fruit, plums and truffles. The palate is balanced with a smooth and elegant finish. Purple-colored wine from Argentina, the nose of the Trapiche Oak Cask Malbec offers up plum and black cherry notes with a touch of black pepper. The palate is soft and round with ripe, saturated berry flavors. It finishes spicy and full with chewy tannins. A Spanish wine from Marqués de Cáceres, we will be pouring the Verdejo, with aromas of white fruits with delicate citrus notes, intense and powerful on the palate, with a balance of freshness and long-lasting finish.
