If you really love pasta – and what's not to love about pasta – there's a special day to celebrate it: National Pasta Day, October 17. There are many kinds of pasta – from angel hair to ziti – and several types of pasta are among the favorite entrées in the U.S. according to YouGov's ranking of The Most Popular American Dishes. Lasagna is ranked #2 behind chocolate chip cookies (can't argue with that), earning an 82% popularity ranking. Spaghetti with meatballs comes in at #5 (80%), just ahead of burritos. Ravioli and macaroni and cheese land spots #7 (78%) and #8 (78%), respectively; pasta with tomato sauce is at #11 (75%).

So, at tonight’s wine pairing and pouring, Arny will be preparing pasta with Carfagna’s homemade organic pasta sauce. This Original Recipe Pasta Sauce is made with organic ingredients for the health-conscious, clean eaters, and the curious. While all of the Carfagna sauces are made using natural ingredients, this one goes a step further! The chosen wines for the evening are Argento Estate Bottled Malbec, a deep purple wine made with organic grapes with flavors of plum and sweet blackberry, with powerful aromas of red berries and floral notes; medium-bodied Banfi Chianti Classico opens on the nose showing notes of strawberries, red plums and lemon rind; and Chateau Fontaine Laughing Waters Rose, made with Pinot Noir grapes with delightful notes of crisp strawberry, raspberry and cherry.

Join us tonight as we pay tribute to one of the most delicious and versatile foods ever. And if you need MORE PASTA, Scatola Di Pasta will be open with $1 off pasta choices!
