At tonight’s pairing and pouring from 5-8 p.m., Arny’s main course will feature Texas Tamale Company's gourmet-quality tamales. Over the last 30 years the Texas Tamale business has grown from a single tamale cart to a proud company with a national fan base, selling more than 3 million tamales every year. Using the original lard-free and gluten-free masa recipe, the pork, beef, chicken, and black bean varieties are well-seasoned, finely textured, and incredibly addictive. We will be serving the black bean and beef varieties tonight.
We will be pouring 1924 Port Barrel-Aged Pinot Noir, a velvety wine with layered flavors of blackberry and cocoa, complex spice aromas, and richly toasted oak; Warner Grapes of Love, a tasty sweet, silky-smooth white blend table wine; and Noble Vines 446 Chardonnay from Napa Valley, a medium-bodied wine that exhibits appealing aromas of pear, pineapple and melon with flavors of peach and coconut with hints of lemon and toasty vanilla spice.
