One of Italy’s favorite delights is “Arancini”, which means “little oranges”. These tasty Italian rice balls are imported arborio rice, stuffed with savory fillings, coated with bread crumbs, and deep fried. Every bite is packed evenly with gourmet center fillings derived from decades-old family recipes. Acqua In Vino will be debuting these delicacies at tonight’s wine pairing and pouring from 5-8 p.m. We will be pouring three selected wines. Star Thistle Ambrosia is a dry still mead from St. Ambrose, their best attempt at paying homage to the beekeepers at Sleeping Bear Farms. Vernaccia di San Gimignano is an Italian wine with light citrus aroma, dry and rich on the palate, with flavors of dried apricot and peach. Rustenberg John X. Merriman from South Africa is a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 11% Malbec and 6% Petit Verdot. With prominent aromas of plump dark cherries, this wine has subtle touches of oak and baking spices that add complexity. We have many items to choose from for Mother's Day and can make a special basket just for her. Stop in and ask about the many choices available. We'll see you at the tasting!
