At this week’s wine pairing and pouring from 5-8 p.m. tonight, we will be debuting Chicken & Cabbage Dumplings and Roasted Pork Buns from Dumpling Daughter. Arny will be preparing the dumplings and buns with their signature Spicy Sweet Soy Sauce.
Nadia Spellman’s parents owned Boston's most renowned 5-star Chinese restaurant, Sally Ling's. Her favorite food was mom’s home cooking. She always looked forward to an after-school snack of steamed buns or a giant plate of dumplings. The most exciting days were Sundays, when they went to Grandma’s house and Nadia wrapped dumplings with her mom. The whole family would feast on dumplings together and they became the essential comfort food of her childhood.
In 2014 Nadia founded Dumpling Daughter which serves many of the most authentic time-tested dishes and her favorites: dumplings, buns, and noodles! Her mission was to make people happy - one dumpling at a time. Dumplings comfort us and, at the same time, are fun and light!
