Tonight we're bringing Texas to you!
At tonight's wine tasting and pairing we're excited to share Texas Tamale Company's gourmet-quality tamales. Over the last 30 years the business has grown from a single tamale cart to a proud Texas-based company with a national fan base, selling more than 3 million tamales every year. Using the original lard-free and gluten-free masa recipe, the pork, beef, chicken, and black bean varieties are well-seasoned, finely textured, and incredibly addictive. These main course tamales will be paired with Purple Cowboy Cabernet Sauvignon. Purple Cowboy wines are a tribute to winemaking, rodeo-riding cowboys. This dark, rich Cabernet Sauvignon comes from cowboy wine country, Paso Robles, California. The grapes are sourced from the eastern side which is warmer, drier and produces fruit-forward, full-bodied wines with soft tannins and balanced acidity. Our charcuterie tonight will be paired with 13 Celcius Pinot Grigio. The Alps defend Delle Venezie D.O.C., Italy from chilled northern winds, while heat from the Mediterranean creates the ideal climate for harvesting pure and vibrant grapes. Meticulously crafted to highlight the best of its iconic terroir, 13 Celsius Pinot Grigio is full, complex and crisp, boasting flavors of luscious pear, ripe tropical fruit with a refreshing, lively finish. We will finish the night with Lafayette Creamery Ice Cream paired with Fenn Valley Vino Rosso, just released this month.
