This Week's Pairing

We’re looking forward to our wine tasting and pairing Friday night from 5-8 p.m. Our great hunter has returned from his elk hunt in New Mexico and you won’t want to miss his new stories. Arny will be serving up his homemade pasta sauce which we all know is delicious.

We’ll be featuring Lodali Moscato, Fenn Valley Meritage, and Fortant Grenche Rosé. New this year, the Moscato D’Asti from Piedmont, Italy, is fresh, sweet and fragrant with notes of apricot, orange, peach and honey that flow onto the palate with light bubbles. Fenn Valley Meritage is a blend of three varieties which proves to be superior to any of the wines by themselves. The Cabernet Franc contributes the black cherry fruit flavor, the Cabernet Sauvignon gives a black pepper quality, and the Merlot contributes a light earthy fruit character. As expected, no one variety stands out; they all work together to create a harmonious blend of flavors that complement each other. The Fortant Grenche Rosé is delicate on the palate, revealing lovely citrus and red berry flavors and boasting a long fresh finish.

We have many wines to choose from to complement your ham or turkey Thanksgiving dinner. Our mantra for Thanksgiving is “open one of everything,” because with the plethora of flavors on the Thanksgiving table, no single wine will match everything on the menu, but any wine is likely to play well with something!
